An integrated people strategy, aligned with the business imperatives, was needed to proactively position and prepare this function to sustain high performance, maximize effectiveness, upgrade leadership/talent capabilities, manage complexity, and grow as a global center of excellence.
As lead consultant, in close partnership with the functional head of HR and the leadership team, five work streams were identified from key business challenges. Each people strategy work stream had a project plan and leadership team sponsor, with collaboration from key stakeholders, HR teams, several levels of managers, and high potentials in each department.
An integrated strategy was created, key objectives from each work stream project plan were accomplished, and the leadership team took action on phased implementation and sustainability recommendations. In alignment with ever-evolving business needs and priorities, this work continues to anchor several aspects of the function’s human resource efforts today.
